(8 babies on racks | wanna rack a baby?)

Time:6:17 pm.
congratulations are in order to evan and adam beamer (http://www.elmatadorfilms.com), everyone who made a cameo, and the rest of the birthday boys as our film "a brief case" was accepted into the boston international film fest (http://www.bifilmfestival.com). looks like our movie will play sometime between june 7th and 15th before d.b. sweeney's new film "dirt nap" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463963/). i'm excited because d.b. sweeney played shoeless joe jackson in one of my favorite movies ever, "eight men out." he was in "roommates" too!! wow, he had quite the early 90s. anyway, i'll let you know when i have more details, but if you're around this summer, you should come see "a brief case" on the big screen. should be pretty awesome.

if you haven't seen it yet, here ya go: http://www.birthdayboypresents.com/videos/media/briefcase/index.html
enjoy.

(8 babies on racks | wanna rack a baby?)

Subject:happy passover
Time:11:54 pm.
things are happening. i found out this morning that my film "we're going to the zoo" will be screening at the los angeles film fest (http://www.lafilmfest.com/). this is the best thing that could happen to me right now, short of winning a million dollars on "deal or no deal."

i also decided that LA really wants me to come live there, so i'm giving in to it's hoots and hollars. after the summer, i'm gonna move out there with a few of my bu buddies and become a dodgers fan. and yes, i plan on getting my license this summer. hopefully.

i have 8 days of class left. ever. that's scary. i've been a busy boy. sorry i haven't been around at all. thesis project filming wrapped and now i gotta edit 3 movies before may 12. that's...soon.

and in the best news of all, i'm seein' ghostface killah tomorrow!!

word.

NO DEAL!!!

Time:10:31 am.
Mood: <-----i'm actually doing this.
right. so "we're going to the zoo" won first place at the redstone film festival last nite. i really don't know what to say about this. i'm still speechless. most of the films were really great. i just want to say a huge thank you to all my friends who came to support me, and everyone who left me messages and kind words and all that stuff. i wish i could tell you more, but i'm at a complete loss for words.

don't forget that the save the brattle film fest is on friday (see my last entry for details). word on the street is that there may be an encore showing of "zoo," with it's original music in all its copyright-infringing glory!

hope i see you there.
thanks again, guys.

EDIT: oh man. this link will only work for today, but take a look: http://www.dailyfreepress.com/

YEAH, ANOTHER EDIT: this one might last. not sure. we'll see. http://www.dailyfreepress.com/media/paper87/news/2006/02/16/FeaturePhotos/2006-Redstone.Film.Festival-1616645.shtml

(31 babies on racks | wanna rack a baby?)

Subject:for andrew and anna
Time:10:31 pm.
2005 movies i saw:
THE ARISTOCRATS
BATMAN BEGINS
BEWITCHED
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
BROKEN FLOWERS
THE BROTHERS GRIMM
CAPOTE
CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE
CRASH
THE 40 YEAR-OLD VIRGIN
FUNNY HA HA
GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK.
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE (but i fell asleep)
KING KONG
KUNG FU HUSTLE
LAYER CAKE (but i fell asleep)
MATCH POINT
ME AND YOU AND EVERYONE WE KNOW
MELINDA AND MELINDA
MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA
MUNICH
OLIVER TWIST
SIN CITY
THE SQUID AND THE WHALE
STAR WARS: EPISODE III REVENGE OF THE SITH
TIM BURTON'S CORPSE BRIDE
WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT
WAR OF THE WORLDS
WEDDING CRASHERS

they all sucked except:
1. FUNNY HA HA
2. THE SQUID AND THE WHALE
3. WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT
4. GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK.
5. THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
6. THE 40 YEAR-OLD VIRGIN
7. ME AND YOU AND EVERYONE WE KNOW
8. BROKEN FLOWERS
9. MUNICH
10. CAPOTE

a few of the other ones were alright too, i guess. like batman wasn't bad. brothers grimm and corpse bride should've been great and were the year's biggest disappointments. still undecided about king kong.

i missed a ton of movies i wanted to see. 2046 and thumbsucker, to name two.

but honestly, funny ha ha is the only movie that really mattered.

Time:6:18 pm.
Mike Denly: so i've been listening to a bit too much aerosmith lately
Mike Denly: crazy might actually be the best recorded song of all time
Mike Denly: might
Mike Denly: it's sad
Mike Denly: it's true
Mike Denly: it's the pain of Liv
Mike Denly: or the pain of Wife
Mike Denly: i forget the Wife's name
Mike Denly: but i think she was into porn?
Mike Denly: or kiss
Mike Denly: well, it's the pain.
Mike Denly: "you turn it on"
Mike Denly: "then you're gone"
Mike Denly: that's blues
Mike Denly: and he kind of looked like the Ultimate Warrior
Mike Denly: so, that's key
Mike Denly: Get a Grip had pictures of nipples on the cd
Mike Denly: and i didn't know if it was hot or not
Mike Denly: cause i didn't know if they were Girl nipples or Guy nipples
Mike Denly: or Cow nipples
Mike Denly: cause there was a cow motif
Mike Denly: "Get a Grip"
Mike Denly: [grab an udder]
Mike Denly: black and white
Mike Denly: [racialism]
Mike Denly: really quite a thing
Mike Denly: "Eat the Rich"
Mike Denly: incredible
Mike Denly: "there's only one thing they're very good for / eat the rich"
Mike Denly: and Big Ones had big sumo boobs
Mike Denly: so i think they were into Not-Girls' Nipples
Mike Denly: which is a funny thing to think about
Mike Denly: because any other nipple is useless
Mike Denly: so, i think they were making a statement
Mike Denly: Use what you Have
Mike Denly: [recycling]
Mike Denly: an all around conscientious band, i think
Mike Denly: probably better than Zeppelin
Mike Denly: probably

ok, here's the game. i've made a bunch of you guys with this south park character maker thing. i was really bored, whatever. anyway, they're all numbered (16 total). post who's who in the comments. it's swampscott, uvm, and a few bu kids. maybe a straggler that doesn't quite fit anywhere in there. but you all basically know each other.

i used katie as an example, because she's the only girl. (sorry, ladies.) just click on katie to start, and you can scroll through them in the top right of the screen. most are pretty obvious (to me, at least). maybe not to you. what do i know?

just do it. don't cheat by looking what other people have posted. look after, alright? winner gets a prize.

i'll make more of you later if you want.
or, christ, do it yerselves:

(17 babies on racks | wanna rack a baby?)

Time:4:10 pm.
it's a weird time right now:

1. all my dad's stores are closing. come summer, photographics is no more. not sure what my dad is going to do after, but i'm kinda worried. he's really stressed, but trying to make the best of it. (is there a best of it, though?)
2. parents selling the house. not sure where they're moving to yet. kinda worried for them, too.
3. junior year of college almost over. not sure what i'm doing this summer, now that my summer job is gone. are people gonna be around to make movies at all?

don't even want to get into the fact that college is almost completely over.
or that the sox lost last nite.

but i got a puppy (miles), so things aren't all bad.

did you know that tails from sonic the hedgehog 2's full name was miles "tails" prower? miles prower. say it slowly without a pause.
very clever, sega.

nice haircut, GERG.

hey kregg.

Time:10:53 pm.
Mood: indescribable.
i saw gene wilder speak tonite. there was my childhood, sitting 12 feet in front of me. it was extremely surreal and wonderful. i was even brought to tears a few times. he still has perfect comic timing and the bluest eyes i've ever seen (besides mary's). i shook his hand after and said thank you for everything.

it was all very perfect.
